Many years ago a buddy of mine named Al (Barry's dad on the TKF) heard that catfood was good for attracting Specks. So, he paddles out into the bay and finds a wading spot. Al ties a string to the cat food then ties it to his shorts and opens it and begins wading. A short time later Ole Al observes thousands of crabs of all sizes approaching him. The crabs kept coming at him. Al was stepping on them as he tried running back to his yak, catfood still attached. The crabs kept coming and coming. Al made it to the yak and once he sat down he brought in the catfood can which promptly spilled a bit into his lap. At that point, dime and quarter sized crabs began coming into his kayak through the scupper holes. He made a world record time paddling back to his truck while tossing hundreds of crabs out of his yak.
Beware of the catfood...
