The only thing I keep coming up with is a rod with the aluminum butt. On any of these rods the whole handle section from below the fore grip unscrews so you have a long piece and a short handle piece. The down side is these are all expensive rods (primarily because of the handle itself). I could probably build one for less than what you will pay for one at the store. Stop in cut rate or basspro and look at them. Academy won't have them nor will anyone else I can think of right now. I swore I've seen two piece blanks but I can't find one now. I posted the question on the rodbuilding.org board to see if anyone else know's of one but so far not much luck.
