no external loads without prior FAA approval. Also no skids on this helo. SR76. Retactable landing gear like an airplane. Rod needs to fit in my bag. Thought about putting 5' rod in pvc pipe, no go. May ending up buying a rod, cutting it to fit my bag and put a roller eye on the end.
