John, I have a nice built-in DCS hooked into the main gas line, 7 years old. I found hot spots and cold spots getting worse over time. Pulled it all apart and ended up replacing the cast iron burners. They had blocked holes on some parts and complete destruction on other parts where the gas flowed bigtime. Installed the new burners and boom, I had a new grill to cook on. Redfish on the half-shell is back to normal and cooked through evenly now.
