Just throwing my $0.02 out there. I do not like the password Idea. So what if they are not members. If they are not causing problems, what's the issue? Are they adding something worthwhile? Are you spending a lot of time deleting things that shouldn't be put up there? My wife is not a member, does that mean she shouldn't post here? In general, this board slowed WAYYYYY down when the password was implemented. Perhaps a change of format is in order. the 2cool board, the tkf board, etc all have a usable format that allows members to log in and secure their user id. But guests are still allowed to post as well. Sure there are some boneheads who post garbage, but those are easily identified. If you want to keep the current format, great, but by limiting guest posts, you may be limiting the future membership of the group.
Again, just my thoughts.
