but I DO still remember the fish ... they're called kilifish (pronounced like keelyfish) ... but I don't know if the ones around here are banded, striped, or what (may have both plus some). We used the ones up to about 3 inches for anything ... if going strictly for flounder I like the ones a bit smaller ... maybe 2 1/2 inch. They are easy to catch around marhses in minnow traps.
