Mud Minnows are an excellent all around bait. They keep alot longer than shrimp I've had them keep over night in the live well just putting some fresh saltwater in before I head to the house. I prefer the two inch size baits and have caught all three of the major inshore spiecies with them. Sometimes I free line'm like you would a large shrimp adding just a small split shot to make them fight the line a litte. And under a cork when fishing close to the Oyster reefs. I hook them through the lips with a small sized circle hook or #8 treble hook. Alot of times mud minnows is all I'll buy because I prefer them over shrimp.
Good Luck and keep them muddies coming. (Bridge Bait)
