: Try reconnecting your ground wires. Connect the trailer ground to the trailer frame, on a clean bare metal spot. Then do the same with the truck ground. 9 times out of ten this is the problem. Be sure to clean the spots of all dirt and paint and galvanizing, after making connection, coat the spots with paint or a paint on galvanizing.
