I have wade-fished Carancahua Bay for almost forty
years (started really young!) My father is still my best fishing partner, and sometimes he
lets me out-fish him. Originally from Houston, I now live in Fairfield, about a five hour
drive from my favorite fishing spot. I refuse to let that stop me, I just have to get up a
little earlier! I usually use spoons, but also like top-waters and wobblers. My
largest fish is a 24 1/2 pound red on 12 pound line and a gold spoon. An amazing
catch, good story to tell. If you fish the Schicke Point or Port Alto area, let me
