Profile for Barnacle Bill AKA Bill

BilAustin1@aol.com

When I was young, I fished on Sam Rayburn lake with my uncle who is a great fisherman.  Then I moved to LaPorte and spent my teen years fishing from Morgans Point to Seabrook, the Lynchburg ferry area and sometimes on return trips to Sam Rayburn lake with that same uncle who always taught me something new.

Now I live in Austin but I go to the coast (usually Galveston/Freeport area) frequently from spring-fall.

I am divorced but I take my 3 kiddos with me every chance I get. A wise man taught me the greatest things about fishing are learning patience and just enjoying being out there even if the fish aren't out there with you.

I have recently taken up kayaking and look forward to using it for fishing on the bays this year.

If you take someone fishing who hasn't fished before, and you turn them on to fishing, you just doubled the number of responsible fishermen/women out there and thats a good thing.

Always fish.  Always have fun.  Always take a kiddo or friend.
Good fishing.
