Profile for Backlash-Billy  - AKA Billy

WOW! I saw this board and knew I had to join!   I am transplanted on the Right  Coast (New Jersey) for now.  BUT!  I grew up on the Third Coast!  Houston  (Sagemont for all Ya'll in Pearland!) and always had a place to fish.  My  Grandfather taught me all I know... errr knew...and I have progressed ever since.   We had a shack on Taylor's lake just before you go across the causeway on 45 for  many years.  Green's cut and the entire back bay is where I cut my teeth. We then  bought a house @ Indianola and fished all of Powderhorn and surrounding area.  I  have fished the entire Gulf Coast and probably think that Port Mansfield or Port  O'Conner are my most comfortable places to fish.  Probably because I have a lot  of good memories there. Things have probably changed so much since my last trip  there I wouldn't recognize it. I have fished all my life (43) and can't ever remeber a  time when I didn't like that salt air blowing in my face.  Jersey has some good fish,  but it ain't the same as home...  We've got Weakfish (Specks) that go up to 14 lbs!   Fluke (flounder) that go 15 pounds but no Bull Reds...man I miss the reds!   Sorry  for the ramble...I miss the Gulf Coast.  If you are going to be in the area, drop me a  note and I would love to show you the Jersey Shore!
