Obviously, operating and maintaining a site the size
of CoastalFishing.org (over 1,500 member profile pages and 62 pages of fishing content),
takes physical and fiscal resources. To allay our expenses, we have opened the site
up to banner advertising at very reasonable rates.
First, let's look at the numbers. The CCCF
website has grown from less than 2,000 hits in January 2000 to over 750,000 hits a
month...and growing exponentially. Additionally, our membership has grown to
well over 1500 participants!
Demographically, our membership is across the age
board, from very young to older and retired members. The commonality is in their
love of fishing. About half of our members own boats; half also own 4 wheel drive or
heavy duty vehicles. Many own kayaks and also enjoy hunting. Most travel
recreationally more than the average person. Average income is believed to be in the
$60-100,000 range. According to our survey, our members average
spending over $1500 per year on fishing equipment, and most enjoy additional sporting
activities such as golf, hunting, camping, kayaking, SCUBA diving, and more.
Banner Sponsorship is simple. We will place a
banner for you on the site and include you in our list of sponsors on the front
page. All sponsors will receive a listing on the front page of our site in
addition to their banner on a sponsored section! The placement of your banner is up
to you, within reason, as is the style and size (but we do have necessary limits...we will
work with you!).
Cost: Because we only try to cover the cost of
the site, and a little for the webmaster's time we are able to make sponsoring this site
quite affordable, and what we believe is a great bargain to our advertisers.

This is not a commercial site, and we limit the
number of banners per page. Your banner will be on a main page (rather than on a
"member profile" page, so that it will enjoy maximum exposure. We do not
use rotating banners either, so each time someone opens that page, your banner will be
there. If space is available, we will allow you to request a particular page for
your banner.
Since we are not a commercial site, we reserve the
right to remove any banner and return the prorated portion of the fee should the product
or service which you are advertising be found substandard by our members.
Let me emphasize that this is not
"click-thru" advertising. This is a highly targeted audience and ads on
the CCCF site result in sales...not just lookers!
